We accept gently used, quality, and high-end home furnishings and decor. Furniture (living room, dining room, bedroom, etc.), mirrors, pictures, paintings, lamps, china, figurines, bric-a-brac, home and holiday decorations, outdoor pieces, rugs, etc.
We preview everything to ensure we are the best option to sell your furnishings.
Previews take one of three forms:
1. Email photos of your items to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can text them to 516-606-0342. We will look them over and get back to you ASAP -(generally the same day). Please include as many details about your items as possible and be sure to include your contact information.
2. Call the shop and schedule an in-person preview appointment. This is particularly helpful if you have a large number of items you are interested in consigning. One of our consignment specialists can meet you and discuss your items in person.
3. Stop by the shop with your item to be reviewed.
When your item sells, we split the sales price (50/50), then you have a choice, you can come in to collect Check or we can mail you a check.
Pricing: Upon acceptance of items, Valley Attic determines the pricing with consideration given to condition, quality, brand, age, original purchase price, style, and most importantly buyer demand. The true value is set by demand. Priced too high...items do not sell. We price and display your items to sell quickly for maximum profit for both of us. If you have a target price in mind for your merchandise we'll be more than happy to make every effort to get the price you're looking for.
Period and Markdowns: The consignment period is 90 days from the date of the consignment agreement. After 30 days, if the item is not sold, Valley Attic reserves the right to mark down your items. Priced right, most items should sell in under 30 days. We respect that these are your possessions until sold.
